A woman accused of hitting her children and threatening a flight attendant who intervened is due to appear in court in Denver this afternoon.

Tamera Jo Freeman, 38, faces a charge of interference with a flight crew and assault. She was arrested Monday after her Frontier Airlines flight from San Francisco landed in Denver.

Witnesses told investigators she has been cursing and hitting her 2-year-old and 4-year-old to the point where they were crying and trying to hide on the floor.

Freeman allegedly told investigators that she "lost it" while on the plane and that she slapped her children because they were fighting over a window shade.
