Two male grizzly bears at the state wildlife shelter in Helena have been sent to live at a Colorado zoo.
State wildlife officials say the bears left the Montana Wildlife Center this week for the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
One of the bears is a 300-pound animal that arrived at the center last summer after charging a man and killing a goat near Eureka. The other, a 200-pounder, was taken to the center last month after lingering around homes near Swan Lake.
The Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee, made up of state and federal officials, approved placing the bears in the zoo.
