Gerald Ford's Personal Items Being Auctioned

Golf clubs, cowboy hats and signed books are among the belongings of President Ford set to be auctioned off in Beaver Creek Saturday.

Thousands of items are available, with some just priced to sell. All come with a tag saying they're from the home the Fords shared in Beaver Creek.

The auction will benefit several charities including the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens near Vail a planned OK Corral Camp for seriously ill children.

Anyone interested can preview the items available Friday at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort from noon until 8 p.m.

The auction begins at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Ford died December 26, 2006 at the age of 93.
