A 12-hundred acre wildfire near New Castle is now fully contained.
At its peak, the lightning-caused fire led to evacuation orders for 90 homes.
All residents were allowed back home by Friday night.
Meanwhile, further west in Mesa, residents are pulling together to help three families who lost their homes in a three-and-a-half acre wildfire Thursday night, 175 miles west of Denver.
The pastor at Mesa View Bible Church says one homeowner was only able to grab her purse and one cat.
She's not sure what happened to another cat she wasn't able to find before fleeing.
The fire burned in a steep drainage that leads to a small creek.
That and the lack of defensible space around the homes made it difficult to fight.
Authorities suspect the fire was human caused because of a lack of storm activity.
