When about 100 skateboarders descended on Denver's 16th Street Mall Thursday to celebrate National Skateboard Day the men in blue were waiting.

Police issued at least 25 tickets.

Sergeant Troy Zimmerman said police issued as many tickets as they could.

Skateboarding or bike riding is prohibited in the pedestrian mall.

Terry Perry, a South High School student, ended up handcuffed. He said, "I think it was my attitude."

The tickets will cost $60.
