Two Loveland firefighters were injured Saturday night in an explosion inside a burning a residential garage.

They suffered second-degree burns on their hands and were taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies.

Their names haven't been released.

Battalion Chief Jeff Genger says fire crews found propane tanks in the garage after the fire and were investigating whether that's what caused the explosion.

Genger says the explosion knocked the firefighters down in the driveway.

The fire was reported shortly after 9:30 P.M. and was contained in about half an hour.
