A man questioned in the death of his girlfriend's 3-year-old daughter has been arrested on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
Twenty-two-year-old Angel Montoya was arrested Wednesday at a motel in Wheat Ridge. Police said he had not told authorities of his new address when he moved from his former apartment.
Montoya, and 20-year-old Miriam Gallegos, were arrested after Gallegos reported her daughter, Neveah, missing on September 21st.
Police found Neveah's body three days later.
The girl's mother, along with Montoya, were released on October 1st when prosecutors said they were not ready to file charges.
Details of the conviction that required Montoya to register as a sex offender aren't immediately available.
