The family of a Westcliffe teenager killed in Saturday's Homecoming parade has set up a memorial fund in her name.

Courtney Curtis had gotten off a float during the parade. As she prepared to get back on, she slipped accidentally slipped and ended up under the trunk.

She died later Saturday from her injuries.

Her family has set up a memorial fund with the Minnequa Works Credit Union. Donations can be made at the Pueblo or Westcliffe locations.

A memorial is being planned for Wednesday to allow her family from Louisiana time to travel to Westcliffe.
