A Denver defense attorney is facing charges of intimidating and tampering with a witness in a Douglas County case.

Sixty-four-year-old Charles Leidner is free on bond.

He did not return phone messages seeking comment.

Leidner is representing Timothy Houser, whom Douglas County sheriff's officials say is accused of patronizing a prostituted child.

Leidner was arrested Wednesday at his Denver home on accusations that he improperly approached a 16-year-old girl in June, who was the alleged victim in Houser's case.

A special prosecutor from the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office in El Paso County is handling Leidner's case.

Leidner is due in Douglas County Court on October 22nd.
