Two people were shot during an altercation that followed a traffic accident on Fort Carson Wednesday night.

According to Fort Carson representatives, the incident began when a man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a home on post. One person in the home suffered non-life threatening injuries in that crash.

Following the impact, the driver and another resident of the home got into a fight. The resident retrieved a personally owned weapon and fired three times, hitting the driver twice and himself once.

All those injuries are also reported to be non-life threatening.

The incident is currently under investigation by the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division.
