Congressman Doug Lamborn released a map Thursday detailing the future location of the Southern Colorado National Veterans Administration Cemetery.
It follows the recent purchase of land on the Rolling Hills Ranch site. That is southeast of the Colorado Springs Airport.
Lamborn says the VA office is now asking contractors to submit bids for the project.
A planning period is expected to last from 15 to 18 months before construction begins in early 2016.
