A southern Colorado military mom received an unexpected act of kindness from a local business.
She stopped at Big O Tire to have a tire changed before starting a road trip to South Dakota to see her kids.
She found out instead of needing only one tire, her vehicle needed about a thousand dollars worth of work before it would be safe to take on such a long trip. That's something Gay Skovlund wasn't prepared to pay.
When the store manager found out she was a military mom, he told her they would take care of the repairs as a way to say thank you for her son's service.
Skovlund says she will always be grateful for such an unexpected act of kindness that made it possible for her to make the trip to see her kids.
