COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- A Lockheed Martin unit in Colorado Springs has been awarded a $78.2 million contract for work on a missile warning system.
The contract was announced last week. The work is for the Shared Early Warning System, designed to alert the U.S. and its allies to missile launches. No other details have been released.
The work will be done by Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services in Colorado Springs.
