Residents that live near Fort Carson can expect some extra noise and dust in the air this week.
The Mountain Post says it will be doing eleven days of aerial gunnery training starting Monday, Oct. 21.
During the training helicopters will be hovering, landing and firing in range areas.
The training is to prepare members of the The 1st Battalion, 25th Aviation Regiment, 25th Infantry Division for "mission essential tasks" during future operations.
Residents that have complaints about the noise may call the Fort Carson Public Affairs office at 719-526-5996,1256 or 9849.
