A Ft. Carson soldier can now scratch off "appear as game show contestant" on his to-do list.
Captain Dan Kull appeared on Jeopardy Thursday night on KKTV.
The show taped in August, which meant he couldn't talk about how he did until the episode aired. A group of friends cheered him on during a watch party in his honor at the Mountain Post.
At the end of the 30 minute trivia contest, Cpt. Kull came in third, but told 11 News he's thrilled to have taken the stage with Alex Trebek.
"I was not disappointed that I wasn't a defending champion,” Kull said. “It would have been nice for the money, as my wife has reminded me, but I just had a great time."
Kull took home $1,000 in prize money, and said he will most likely call it a wrap on his game-show career.
