Active duty military will literally get a free ride for the month of May courtesy of the Mountain Metropolitan Transit.
The Springs city transit system is offering free rides for U.S. troops on all fixed-route municipal buses in honor of National Military Appreciation Month. Reserve service members are included in this month-long offer.
"This small token of gratitude is meant to acknowledge the bravery, sacrifice and unwavering commitment of our local armed forces personnel," the city said in a release on their website.
To participate, service members need to present a current military ID to the bus driver, or be in uniform when boarding.
