HuHot Raises $14K for Home Front Cares

A local restaurant exceeded its goal by raising $14,000 for deployed soldiers, veterans and their families.

HuHot Mongolian Grill, on 7790 North Academy in Colorado Springs, donated all proceeds from meals served Monday to Home Front Cares. All people had to do was walk in and eat--100 percent of what was paid for meals was donated.

Lines were long all day long, as participants chose to eat for a good cause.

The event ran from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

HuHot you have just set the bar of giving 100% profits to a cause and not be like some restaurants who get people to come in and spend their money. Then keep 90% of the profits and give the victim familes or the charitable organizations only 10%.

We went there just because they are supporting the troops and their families! The food there is outstanding!

I went there, for the first time, last week and really enjoyed the food! Now that they're doing something to support our troops, I'll have another reason to go back! Thank you and thanks to our service men and women!
