The Drowsy Chaperone (Don Ward)
Updated: 05/20/2013 - Two weekends left to catch one great show!
The body of a missing Salida woman was discovered by a search dog late Friday morning.
Sue Johnson, 55, was scheduled for a doctor's appointment Thursday--and never turned up. Her car was later found, unlocked, by the Raspberry Gulch trailhead in the Brown's Creek area.
Search teams out of Chaffee County, assisted by bloodhounds from Buena Vista Correctional Facility, searched for Johnson until nightfall Thursday, and resumed the search Friday morning.
Johnson's body was found lying against a tree 50 yards from a side road.
At this time, authorities do not believe her death is suspicious. No obvious trauma was found, but an autopsy still has to be conducted.
