Missing Chafee County Woman Found Dead

The body of a missing Salida woman was discovered by a search dog late Friday morning.

Sue Johnson, 55, was scheduled for a doctor's appointment Thursday--and never turned up. Her car was later found, unlocked, by the Raspberry Gulch trailhead in the Brown's Creek area.

Search teams out of Chaffee County, assisted by bloodhounds from Buena Vista Correctional Facility, searched for Johnson until nightfall Thursday, and resumed the search Friday morning.

Johnson's body was found lying against a tree 50 yards from a side road.

At this time, authorities do not believe her death is suspicious. No obvious trauma was found, but an autopsy still has to be conducted.

You must be confusing local "media outlets" like KKTV, KRDO, and the Gazette for actual journalism.

The BBC is far from unbiased, Dave. They just raked over the coals about how they reported the European Union story on the PM's actions.

Its because the news here only care about their ratings, not giving accurate information. The only real news in the world is BBC, unbiased and nothing but the facts.

Why does krdo say she made it to the appointment and didn't make it home and kktv says she never made it to the appointment. Who's right? No wonder people don't believe the media anymore.
