A special young boy donned a cadet uniform and was whisked off to a magical day.
Throughout the last weekend of September, 11-year-old Wyatt lived out his dream of being in the Air Force, flying in a flight simulator, tailgating with cadets, attending a chemistry magic show. It was all made possible by the Make a Wish Foundation and Air Force Academy, who granted Wyatt's wish to become a cadet for a day.
Grinning ear-to-ear all day long, it was clear Wyatt relished his experience spending time with the cadets.
"It's been a great day," he told 11 News.
"We look forward to sitting down with a kid, and you know, they're sitting there and they maybe look upset, and we're like 'what's wrong?' and they tell us 'I don't want this day to end,'" one of the cadets told 11 News
Wyatt was diagnosed with lymphoma a few years ago, but is currently in remission and on his way to being cancer-free.
