A Bible verse on the door of an Air Force Academy cadet's dorm room is causing a constitutional debate.
The director of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation said Wednesday that the message on a white board amounted to a cadet in a position of authority forcing an opinion on subordinates.
The director says he has received complaints from cadets, and considered filing a lawsuit to ensure church-state separation on campus. But Mike Berry of the Liberty Institute says the cadet was exercising his right to religious freedom.
The Academy says this particular issue was resolved earlier this week when cadets decided to erase the message. However, it's unclear what would happen in a similar instance down the road.
