All the 500 tickets made available to the public for the upcoming Air Force Academy graduation ceremony were sold out in just ten minutes. President Barack Obama will be speaking at the commencement.

The tickets were given out to a long line of people who waited outside the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce at 6 S. Tejon Street, Suite 700. A maximum of four tickets per person were made available on a first-come, first-served basis.

At 8:00 a.m., employees began to hand out the tickets. Although they were prepared to continue until 5:00 p.m., the tickets were all gone in about ten minutes.

Many of the people who waited in line left empty handed.

For those who got tickets, graduation day is May 23. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. and ticket holders are asked to arrive no later than 8:30. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m.

If the graduation ceremony should have to be moved indoors because of dangerous weather or heightened security, general public ticket holders may not attend.
