Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
Cadet 2nd Class Stephen E. Williams was killed last December 10 in a single-car crash on the Air Force Academy grounds.
Williams lost control of the car he was driving westbound on the installation's Academy Drive. The car jumped the curb, vaulted off the ground, then flew through the air more than 60 feet, and landed in a ravine.
Williams was killed on impact.
State Patrol investigated the crash and discovered that speed and distraction were factors. However alcohol was not.
According to the Academy, Williams was a manager for the Air Force Falcons football team and a systems engineering management major.
