Resolution FAQ - (Stacia Naquin)
Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
PFC Javon Hughes is currently serving in Iraq with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. His wife, Amy says he's her hero and we agree; he's a Colorado Hero!
Amy Hughes shared her story with 11 News:
I would like to nominate my husband, PFC Javon Hughes. He is with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson. My husband just left on Sunday March 21st, for his first deployment to Iraq, he will be gone 12 months, so he is expected to return in March of 2011. My husband is my hero because serving in the military is something he wanted to do for a long time. He joined the Army in Oct of 2008, and was stationed at Fort Carson just less than a year before he deployed. We have been married just over a year now, and I can't thank him enough for the sacrifice he is making for me, our families and the rest of this country. He is an amazing person, and deserves to be recognized for his service to our country. In my eyes, he is a hero, as well as every other man or woman serving in the military. If my nomination is chosen, I would like to tell my husband that I love him very much and I could never thank him enough for his choice to serve in the military, and that I stand behind him through anything life may bring, I am very proud of him, and he truly is and always will be my hero.
