Sgt. Travis Thompson is a soldier serving with 3-61 at Fort Carson. His wife, Heather Thompson, wrote to KKTV saying her husband is her hero and we agree; he's a Colorado Hero!
Heather says her husband's unit will return from Afghanistan in May. His unit, 3-61 is part of the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.
Thompson and his wife have a 1-year-old daughter, Wynter. Heather says she loves him very much and is very proud of him and what he does for our family.
"He is our Hero. I am behind him [through] anything," Heather says.
