After nearly a year in Afghanistan, nearly 70 soldiers have returned home to Fort Carson. The soldiers are members of the second brigade combat team.
While in Afghanistan, the troops worked to help train the Afghan National Security Forces. The training in Farah City included foot patrols and traffic control.
Soldiers say there was a lot of progress made in during their deployment.
"It was about a 10 month deployment and all of the soldiers did a wonderful job. We had great successes out there. So, we are happy to be back with our families," Command Sergeant Major Yolanda Tate.
