Biden Assures Air Force Graduates They're Needed

Vice President Joe Biden is telling Air Force Academy graduates their country still needs them because they can "do it all."

Biden spoke to about 1,000 graduating cadets at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs on Wednesday.

Biden says the nation faces daunting challenges -- not just enemy states and terrorism, but global warming and improving health care and education.

Biden says the graduates should "think beyond the theater of battle."

The vice president also poked fun at President Barack Obama, who's known for relying on teleprompters for his speeches.

When Biden's teleprompter failed, he joked he'd have to tell the president about it, saying, "What will he do then?"

The neocons are just bitter because they are no longer 'patriot lovers' when they accused the 9/11 families of terrorism and told returning troops, and the families of the dead troops they were unamerican because they questioned the motives of the war. According to Real Clear Politics, the Republican party now has around 22% support. So basically the people who still insist Bush did no wrong are the people who hate Obama. They are so deep in their hole, that the Fox News Gods are their only source of information.

Bill and other self-righteous right-wingers: What part about Vice President Biden's son, Joseph Biden III, being DEPLOYED in Iraq don't you understand?! The GOP/conservative/Limbaugh crowd certainly do NOT hold a monopoly on patriotism and serving their country by signing up for the armed forces. Indeed, some members of the Republican parties are hypocritical chicken hawks, such as former VP Dick (5-deferments) Cheney, who has no qualms about declaring unnecessary war and subjecting OTHER people's children to the high probability of death or severe physical or and/or psychological injuries, all for the manufactured reason of “keeping America safe” by attacking a country that had NOTHING to do with 9/11!!

Well, I have to say I agree with Bob, Dixie Normus and Grady. Having Biden appear at the wonderful AFA graduation seems to be in conflict with the liberal, leftist and basically anti-military stance of the existing Federal government (in my humble opinion of course). They may fake that they love and support our military BUT, just wait and see. I feel they're phonies and manipulators. By the way, for the leftist folks posting, does it really bother you that those who love our military take issue with Biden's appearance?? Also, with his constant screwups and mis-statements, I'm surprised O even let him attend the graduation...ha, ha. Biden is a dufus as are the rest of the "new" administration. BUT, here's some good news for the liberal leftists; it's like I'm in a nightmare, and will be for the next 4 loooooonnnnnggggg years. Oh well...God will watch over our military and the USA!! Bye for now.

Joe Biden's son was deployed to Iraq in October of 2008, so I think he has the standing to speak at the graduation. The poster below with the vulgar moniker, (who should be removed from the comments by the moderator for that alone) should support his country and the vice-president because that's what we do in America. We vote, sometimes our guy wins, sometimes not, but we still support our leaders. Congrats to another awesome group of young men and women. They are our "social security."

The banks have hijacked this "wonderful" country. It's time to let go of those "wonderful" cliches and face the fact that the good ol' USA is about to become a memory. Denial is no solution.

Biden and his smarmy lib friends will not fool the smart and savy grads of the USAFA. Good old Joe and his friends were spitting on soldiers at the airport in the 60's, I doubt they have changed that much in the last 40 years....

Hear, hear!! "Bob" surely doesn't speak for me (and, apparently, the overwhelming majority of the U.S., either). America voted for change we can believe in and overall, during the first 130-some odd days, we have NOT been disappointed. So, Vice President's commencement speech at yesterday's USAFA graduation ceremony was very welcome, indeed!
