1,046 Air Force Academy cadets graduated Wednesday to the roaring applause of a packed stadium, punctuated by the flyover of the AFA Thunderbirds team.
Vice President Joe Biden delivered his commencement address and the names of more than one thousand cadets at the Air Force Academy graduation were called.
Biden told the graduates their country still needs them because they can "do it all." He says the nation faces daunting challenges -- not just enemy states and terrorism, but global warming and improving health care and education.
Biden says the graduates should "think beyond the theater of battle."
The cadets were all commissioned as second lieutenants in the United States Air Force.
