A long-awaited reunion at Fort Carson as dozens of troops return from Iraq after 15 months.
About 50 troops from the 3rd BCT, 4th ID were greeted by family and friends Wednesday afternoon.
The gym was filled with hugs and tears, and a special reunion for one family. A soldier meeting her nephew for the very first time.
Waiting with her new son in her arms Dana Wilkie said, "My sister has been in Iraq his entire life, and she wants to see him, so we are excited."
Fort Carson officials tell 11 News there will be more homecomings in the near future, completing the return of the entire brigade since the war on terror began.
