Fort Carson expects to welcome home the rest of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division by next week.
On Tuesday, 10 soldiers from that brigade returned to the Mountain Post. They've been deployed to Iraq for more than a year.
It was one of the smallest welcome home ceremonies at Fort Carson. But, every soldier counts.
"It's great to finally be home. It's been a long time. I've been gone for 15 months. It's good to finally be back with them," said SSG Matthew Weddle.
About 3800 soldiers are in the 3rd BCT, 4th ID. They've been returning in waves over the last month.
