Hundreds of soldiers were welcomed home to the arms of family and friends Wednesday at Fort Carson.

About 375 soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division marched into a cheering crowd Wednesday afternoon just before 3 p.m.

The soldiers were deployed for 15 months across Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The Special Events Center at Fort Carson has been hosting up to three ceremonies a day recently, as almost 4,000 soldiers from the 3rd BCT, 4ID continue to make their way home.

We were there! And WOULD NOT trade the moment for all they money in the world!!!!! When my husband returned from Vietnam there was no homecoming. Thank you for covering our daughter and son-in-law's return. You did a great job, not a dry eye in the place. We'll be sending a copy of the video to all family members that unfortunately could not be there.

Dear Gene and Claudia, The video can be downloaded if you have the newest version of RealPlayer on your computer. You can download that for free. Once you do, you can mouse over the video online and a pop-up window will appear and a message will say "Download this video." I've also noticed this is done much easier if you have FireFox as your browser instead of Internet Explorer. FireFox is also free to download. If you need any further help, please feel free to contact me at any time by e-mail. If you continue to have trouble I can certainly help you out further. E-mail

Thank you for covering the homecoming of our soldiers from the 3BCT 4ID. I am the mother of one of those returning and the only way I can get an idea of what is happening is through your coverage. Hopefully soon my son will be back on US soil...too far away in Co, but so much closer and safer than in Iraq. Thanks again for your coverage.
