Fort Carson welcomed home soldiers from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division very early Sunday morning.
Friends and families cheered as nearly 300 soldiers marched into the Special Events Center on Fort Carson around 3 a.m. Sunday. The soldiers completed a 15-month deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Many of the roughly 3,800 soldiers from the 3BCT, 4ID have returned home and the remaining soldiers will be returning to Fort Carson in the coming weeks.
