Families and friends welcomed home soldiers with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division Wednesday.
About 45 soldiers were greeting with love following their 15-month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The day was filled with tears and overrun with joy.
Some soldiers saw their children for the very first time, while others hugged their wives, girlfriends, parents and friends.
Soldiers of the brigade performed missions during their deployment. The 3rd BCT is a heavy (mechanized) infantry brigade with approximately 3,800 soldiers.
The remainder of the brigade will be coming home to Fort Carson throughout the next month.
