Closing arguments wrapped up Friday in the trial of a former Fort Carson soldier accused of killing a fellow Iraq war veteran.
They jury is expected to start deliberation Monday morning.
Louis Bressler is charged with first-degree murder in the Dec. 1, 2007 death of 24-year-old Spc. Kevin Shields. Prosecutors say Bressler shot Shields because he knew too much about robberies that Bressler and others planned to commit, and because he'd lost a fight to Shields.
Defense attorneys say Bruce Bastien and Kenneth Eastridge, two other former soldiers charged in Shields' death, are trying to frame Bressler.
Bastien is serving 60 years in prison as part of a plea agreement requiring him to testify against Bressler, but he backed out of the deal Wednesday and refused to testify.
Eastridge is serving 10 years in prison.
