Seventy-five Fort Carson soldiers returned home early Wednesday morning to be greeted with hugs and kisses from family at the Mountain Post.
Deployed for 14 months, members of the 1st Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment were welcomed back with a ceremony at the Special Events Center around 4 a.m.
Despite the late night arrival, family and friends were alert, eagerly awaiting their loved ones.
While deployed, these soldiers flew reconnaissance and combat support missions in Kiowa helicopters.
