About 200 Fort Carson soldiers were reunited with their families and friends Tuesday morning.

The soldiers are members of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. They returned from Afghanistan, where they deployed in May or June of 2011.

In Afghanistan, they served in support of Operation Enduring Freedom by working with the Afghan National Security Forces and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
