More witnesses will take the stand Thursday in the trial of a Fort Carson soldier accused of killing his 2-month-old daughter.
The El Paso County Coroner's Office says the infant died of blunt force trauma to her head and stomach in December 2011. Father Roderick Elam Jr., who was 20 at the time of the crime, was charged a week after the incident.
Tuesday, lawyers in the case gave their opening statements and the first witnesses took the stand.
