14 Fort Carson Soldiers Return From Afghanistan

It was a small but emotional homecoming for 14 soldiers who returned from a seven-month deployment Thursday night.

Sixty people were on hand to meet the soldiers, who returned from Afghanistan.

The soldiers are part of the 52nd Engineer Battalion's 40th Engineer Detachment out of Fort Carson. While deployed, they reportedly constructed landing zones for helicopters and expanded forward operating bases.
