The hunt for summer jobs kicks off Thursday with a job fair specifically aimed at teens and college students.
The Pikes Peak Workforce Center is holding a youth job fair at the DoubleTree World Arena Hotel in Colorado Springs Thursday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Those wishing to attend must be between the ages of 16 and 21. The DoubleTree Hotel is located on 1775 E. Cheyenne Mountain Blvd.
According to the PPWFC, the following employers will be attending:
AAFES, The Broadmoor, Colorado's Lion Camp, Garden of the Gods Club, Aramark Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs Electrical JATC, Classic Homes, Colorado Air National Guard, Summit Subway of Colorado, Coca-Cola Refreshments, ACE Hardware, YMCA Of the Pikes Peak Region, Sam's Club, TwoCor Projects, National Little Britches Rodeo, U.S. Navy, Plumbers/Pipefitters Apprenticeship School Local 58 , Primerica Financial Services, U.S. Marine Corps, Mile High Youth Corps, Denver Department of Safety, Colorado Army National Guard, iT'Z Family Food and Fun, Loaf 'N Jug, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Service Systems Associates, Big Air Jumpers, Fish Window Cleaning, Time Warner Cable.
Employers will be hiring for both full-time and part-time positions.
Those wishing to attend are advised to dress appropriately and bring copies of their resume. Pre-registration is encouraged; go to www.ppwfc.org/, and click on "Youth Job Fair" under the yellow tab.
