A Colorado Springs woman was arrested after police say she stabbed a man during an argument.

A Colorado Springs woman was arrested after police say she stabbed a man during an argument.

Officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department reportedly responded to the 200 block of N. Murray Boulevard, Shannon Glen Apartments, around 6:30 Saturday night, June 22.

When they arrived, police say they found a 51-year-old man with a stab wound to his left inner thigh. He was transported to the hospital to undergo surgery. He was last listed in stable condition.

Officers say they located the suspect, Wanda Phillips, 56, inside the apartment at Shannon Glen and took her into custody.

An investigation revealed the couple had been arguing when it turned physical and Phillips stabbed the victim, whose name has not been released.

The knife used in the assault was recovered.
