Moderate snow continues to fall for some areas of northern El Paso and Teller Counties, accumulating in the grass and yards. Meanwhile, in the plains and along the southern I-25 stretch, light rain/snow mix continues. Take it slow on the roadways - due to VERY strong winds, we are seeing blowing dirt and snow (depending on the region), which is tremendously reducing visibility. A woman is hospitalized after hitting a school bus in Pueblo. The crash happened Tuesday morning just before 8 a.m.
Police say the 42 year-old driver ran a stop sign at the intersection of Adee and 13th street and hit the bus. The students onboard ranged in age from 8 to 11 years old. They were heading to Irving Elementary school.
Police tell 11 News, the driver suffered broken bones in the crash and she will be ticketed for running a stop sign. None of the kids were hurt.
District 60 says all of the parents of the children were notified of the wreck.
