A suspect tried to force a woman out of her vehicle at a Springs fast food restaurant early Tuesday morning.
The woman was about to pull into the drive-thru at the Taco Star on the 600 block of North Circle when she says an armed man approached her and ordered her out of the vehicle. She refused and sped off.
While driving away, the woman told police that the suspect fired one shot at her vehicle, striking it and causing minor damage. Responding officers found one shell casing near the drive-thru. The woman was not injured.
A CSPD K-9 team searched the area for the suspect but were unable to find him.
The suspect has been described as a "young, light-skinned male" dressed in black pants and a gray t-shirt. He is reportedly between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 with a thin build. The incident happened just before 2 a.m.
If you have any information that could help police, you are asked to call 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
