A woman is facing first-degree murder charges in the death of a man who was found in Fountain Creek in Pueblo County last month.
Daniel Cressey, 20, was found shot to death May 28 near Pinon Bridge. Investigators believe he was killed more than 27 miles away at a home on the 5000 block of Hopkins Drive in Security and then moved.
The coroner said Cressey was shot twice in the torso and had only been dead for a few hours when he was found.
The El Paso County Sheriff's Office took over the investigation June 10 because the homicide was believed to have taken place within their jurisdiction.
Using information already gathered by the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office continued the investigation and arrested Jessy Jo Jewel Barnes, 19, on June 11.
Barnes is being held without bond.
