Walsenburg Police say the 16-year-old student was arrested Friday after new allegations were identified in recent days. Police say they conducted more interviews and requested the arrest warrant Friday.

Huerfano Re-1 District says the threat does not appear imminent, but district staff members are working with Walsenburg police to stay on top of the situation. This weekend there was a modified lockout for any weekend practices or school approved student meetings at John Mall High School.

Sunday, the district said that modified lockout will stay in place until further notice. The district said the extra security measures are just a precaution.
