(CBS4) – An autopsy was performed on the body of a 14-year-old girl who was stabbed and killed, and the suspect in the case is on a no-bond and immigration hold.

The teen’s body was found in Commerce City on Monday on Verbena Street, near the intersection with 86th and not far from the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge.

Police have identified her, but they said her name won’t be released until the autopsy is completed and family have been notified.

Police said on Monday Esequiel Padilla-Villalobos, 24, called 911 just before midnight and said he killed someone and that he wanted to turn himself in. Court documents obtained by CBS4 on Wednesday stated the victim was the sister of Padilla-Villalobos’ girlfriend. They also revealed that the victim was stabbed.

Padilla-Villalobos appeared briefly in Adams County Court on Wednesday and is scheduled for a hearing Thursday in which there will be a formal filing of charges. It’s expected he will face a first degree murder charge.

He is being held at the Adams County Detention Facility.

A woman who owns the house near where the teen was found says police knocked on her door early Monday morning.

“It was 1:30 in the morning. We were sleeping when (the police) got there,” she told CBS4.

Owners of an adjacent business and another homeowner in the vicinity also spoke to CBS4, and none said they are familiar with the suspect.
