Two pedestrians have been cited after police say they improperly crossed an intersection, causing a crash.

Both pedestrians were injured.

The crash happened at Hancock and Boychuck, near South Academy. A vehicle was reportedly headed eastbound on Hancock Friday night when it struck the man and woman. Both were taken to the hospital; the woman suffered serious injuries. The man's injuries were not as severe.

Police say the driver of the car stayed on scene after the accident.

Drugs and alcohol are not suspected in the crash.
