Two people were mugged while walking to a friend's apartment on the east side of Colorado Springs.
According to police, the pair were at the Timberlane Apartments on the 3900 block of Bijou at 1:2 0 a.m. Thursday when they were confronted by an armed man. After robbing both victims, the suspect ran off. Two or three other men were lurking nearby during the robbery, and were spotted leaving the area when the suspect did.
The suspect has been described as a black man, 5-foot-9 to 6 feet tall and thin. He was reportedly wearing a dark-colored hoodie and baggy jeans at the time of the robbery.
