A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect at NOON and last through MIDNIGHT from most of Southern Colorado. Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain once again. Burn scars and areas that saw heavy rain yesterday will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
Two homes in a Colorado Springs neighborhood were hit by bullets early Saturday morning.
It happened at about 2 a.m. on the 600 block of Sequoia Drive near Airport Rd. and Circle Dr.
One of the homes was hit one time, the other was hit four times.
Police say they found four shell casings in the area. They say residents in the area reported hearing approximately six shots fired, but did not call police.
Police say they want people to call 911 or police dispatch at 444-7000 whenever they hear shots fired. Police say that helps them determine where the shots happened and enables them to check the area to see if anyone was hurt.
