For the second time in 48 hours, a house in a Colorado Springs neighborhood caught fire in the early morning hours.
Flames and heavy smoke could be seen shooting through the roof just after midnight Thursday at the home on 2314 E. Monument St. The family had already been displaced from the fire Tuesday morning, so no one was at home Thursday when the second fire started.
Firefighters had the fire under control around 1 a.m. Thursday. There's no word at this time on what caused the fire.
The extent of damage to the home from the fire Thursday is unknown, but the house had already sustained substantial damage in the fire Tuesday.
