The wife and daughter of a murder victim made their first court appearance Monday.
Sandra Barajas, 52, and Dawn Richburg, 33, were arrested over the weekend for the murder of Miguel Barajas. Charges, which include first-degree murder and conspiracy, were read to them in court Monday.
Miguel Barajas was found dead inside his home in Widefield back in February. The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says Richburg called 911 then, claiming to have come home to find the house burglarized. Responding deputies searched the home and found her father's body inside.
A third suspect, Tommy Wright, was also arrested over the weekend. He will be in court on a different date.
We're working to get more information about what led to the arrest of the three suspects. We'll let you know what we find out.
