A traffic stop ended up turning into a pot bust.

Police say 36-year-old Javar Harrison ran a red light near Fountain and South Circle Drive in Colorado Springs.

They say when the car stopped - Harrison and another person took off running. But, not before they dropped a bag that had several gallon-sized zip lock bags full of pot in it.

Officers caught up to Harrison and arrested him. The other person got away.

Police say after searching Harrison's car they recovered almost three pounds of pot.
